GOING INTO AND RETURNING FROM HOSPITAL – It is most important that you let Fr Neil know if you are going into hospital (any hospital) in order to make sure that you are visited by the Chaplain and receive the Sacraments.  It is equally important that you let Fr Neil know when you return home.  If you are unable to attend Mass, he will arrange for you to receive Holy Communion at home.

RED MISSION BOX HOLDERS – Please collect your box from the Parish Office.

SAINT OF THE WEEK – Saint Matthias, according to the Acts of the Apostles, was the apostle chosen by the remaining eleven apostles to replace Judas Iscariot following Judas’ betrayal of Jesus and Judas’ suicide. It is thought that he was martyred in Jerusalem around 80AD.  His calling as an apostle is unique in that his appointment was not made personally by Jesus, who had already ascended to Heaven, and it was made before the descending of the Holy Spirit upon the early Church. His feast is celebrated on May 14th.

IN MEMORIAM – Please pray for the repose of the souls of parishioners whose anniversaries occur at this time: Mary Rita Fenelon, Ellen McDonough, Patrick Daniel Cox, Oliver James Stephen Martlew, Anne Dymphna Scullion, Lucy Tigue, Raymond Thomas Tansley, William Joseph Murray and Dominic Anthony Shields.

+ REST IN PEACE + Please pray for the repose of the soul of Margaret Henderson who died recently. Margaret’s Requiem Mass will be in Holy Trinity Sutton Coldfield at 1.30pm on Monday 20th May.
