HOLY SATURDAY NO CONFESSIONS

PENITENTIAL SERVICES IN LENT Erdington Abbey  Tuesday April 16th at 7.00pm.

ALTAR SERVERS – Servers please note that following Morning Prayer on each day of the Triduum there will be a practice for the Liturgy that follows later in the day.

MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION – Parishioners who have been authorised as Ministers of Holy Communion and wish to continue, must ensure that they are present  at the Mass of the Lord’s Supper  at 7.30pm on Maundy Thursday to be re-commissioned. If you are unable to attend, please inform Fr Neil as soon as possible.

MAUNDY THURSDAY ALTAR OF REPOSE – Immediately following the Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Maundy Thursday, there will be an opportunity for you to watch and pray’ at the altar of repose in the Lady Chapel. The ‘watch’ will end at 10.00pm.

GOOD FRIDAY STATIONS FOR CHILDREN – Special Stations of the Cross for children will take place in the Church Hall on Good Friday at 3.00pm whilst adults may attend the Celebration of the Lord’s Passion in church.

COLLECTION FOR THE HOLY PLACES – after all services on Good Friday

EASTER OFFERINGS – Collections taken at the Easter Vigil Mass and Masses on Easter Day will be your clergy offering for your Parish Priest.

SWIECONKA – BLESSING OF THE EASTER BASKET POSWIECENIE POKARMOW – BLESSING OF FOOD for Polish and other families following Morning Prayer on Holy Saturday at 10.15am.

READERS FOR HOLY WEEK – Readers for the Holy Week services will have been notified by email or you may collect your rota from the Sacristy this weekend.

BLITZ CLEAN FOR EASTER – Volunteers are needed to clean our church in preparation for the Triduum and Easter. The clean usually takes less than one hour.  Can you spare 1 hour? Date: Tuesday April 16th at 6.45pm.

SOCIETY OF SAINT VINCENT de PAUL – THANK YOU – Many thanks for your generosity in last weekend’s collection. Money raised will help the parish S.V.P. conference in their work of supporting those in our area who are in most need.

PARISH YOUTH DAY OUT       SATURDAY MAY 4th 2019 – The parish has organised a Youth Day Out to Rushton Triangular Lodge and Wicksteed Park on Saturday May 4th for children aged 10, 11 and 12. Parental consent forms are available from Father Neil.  As there are limited spaces it will be on a first come first served basis when completed forms are to be returned with £5.00 non-refundable deposit.

DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO WALSINGHAM     Saturday May 11TH 2019 – If you would like to join this pilgrimage, please sign the list in the porch.  Please pay when booking. A coach will leave Holy Cross Car Park at 7.30am.  Cost: £20.00 per adult.  Under 16s £10.00.
