HOLY CROSS GUILD VISIT TO THE BBC STUDIOS – this Wednesday February 19th Will those parishioners who have booked to attend the BBC Studio Tour this Wednesday, please remember to bring photo ID if over 18 and that large bags or rucksacks are not allowed on the tour.  Please arrive at the studio on Level 3 of the Mailbox no later than 12.45pm.


STATIONS OF THE CROSS IN LENT – SOUP-MAKERS NEEDED FOR ALL THE FRIDAYS OF LENT. If you can help, please sign the list in the porch. Stations take place every Friday in Lent at 12 noon. followed by a ‘’Soup and Roll’’ lunch in the Church Hall. All cash donations for the Lenten Lunch will be donated to a nominated charity.

BISHOP WALSH SCHOOL   PRINCIPAL VACANCY – Bishop Walsh Catholic School in Sutton Coldfield (part of the St John Paul II MAC) is seeking and inspirational, collaborative and outward facing Principal for September 2020. LOURDES PILGRIMAGES – The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place May 23rd – May 29th 2020. It will be led by Archbishop Bernard Longley. For more information see the booking form on the porch table.

If you would be interested in a smaller Parish Pilgrimage to Lourdes in 2021, please sign the list in the porch. If there is sufficient interest, Father Neil will go ahead and organise.

SAINT OF THE WEEK – Saint Peter Damian (1007-1072) Peter Damian was a Benedictine monk and was the author of many important works on liturgy, theology and morals. Having served as an Abbot, Peter was made Bishop of Ostia in 1057. He supported Gregory VII in his struggle for the rights of the Church. He was declared a Doctor of the Church in 1828. His feast is celebrated on February 21st.
