OSCOTT SEMINARIANS – Our Oscott Seminarians will be holding a Charity Fund Raiser a ‘Coffee morning’ after the 10.00am Mass next Saturday November 29th. Please support them if you are able.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY GROUP – The Liturgy Group is holding a sale of  ‘Mince Pies and Hot Chocolate’ (plus other cakes and refreshments) in the Church Hall, following the 10.30am Mass next Sunday November 30th. £2.50 per head, capped at £5.00 per family. All welcome.

MASS INTENTIONS – FULLY BOOKED – Fr Neil is unable to accept any Mass requests until mid-February. However, if you are happy for another priest to say the Mass it can be arranged, just not at Holy Cross.

ANNUAL REQUIEM – A special Mass will be celebrated here this Thursday November 27th at 7.00pm for all deceased parishioners and remembering by name those who have died in the past year.

ENERGY BILLS & SUPPORTING OUR CHURCH – Maria Webb (a parishioner and one of our school governors) works in partnership with Utility Warehouse. She might be able to save you money on your energy bills.

PARISH PILGRIMAGE 2026 – These are a few suggestions that I have received for our 2026 Parish Pilgrimage. More suggestions will be welcome. Holy Land: October 5th 2026 7 nights £1,500. Rome:  4 nights £1,399. Knock: 4 nights £1.095. Please let Father Neil know if you may be interested in any of the above.

GOING IN TO HOSPITAL – If you have a scheduled operation or time in hospital, please inform Father Neil before you are admitted.  He will contact the relevant Chaplain. If you or one of your family is admitted to hospital  in an emergency, please inform Father Neil, who can then either inform the relevant Chaplain or if local, attempt to see you / them himself.  Protocols have once again, recently changed.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY – To all parents / carers of children from Reception to Year 3. We would love to welcome your children to join us in the Children’s Liturgy Group at 10.30am Mass on Sunday.   Your children, our Church’s future” We would welcome parents / carers who could become Liturgy Group helpers / leaders. COLOUR AND LIGHT – This is an Art Group meeting at Saint Nicholas Church, Boldmere. A gathering for all from the Catholic Sutton Coldfield Cluster who want to enjoy making art (of all sorts and at all levels). Wednesday afternoons from 1.00pm – 3.00pm. SAINTS OF THE WEEK – Saint Andrew Dung-Lac and Companions, Martyrs. Saint Andrew Dung-Lac was a Vietnamese priest martyred in 1839. He was one of a group of one hundred and seventeen martyrs put to death in the nineteenth century. They were canonised in 1988. Altogether between 130,000 and 300,000 Catholics were martyred in Vietnam from the seventeenth to the nineteenth centuries. Their feast is celebrated on November 24th.

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE SICK IN OUR PARISH – May the Lord grant them consolation, peace and healing and to all involved in health care in hospital or in the community, grace, strength and perseverance.
