STATIONS OF THE CROSS IN LENT – Lenten Stations of the Cross in church at 12 noon this Friday. Followed by a ‘’Soup and Roll’’ lunch in the Church Hall. Soup makers are needed for next Friday.
CATHOLIC SUTTON COLDFIELD PENITENTIAL SERVICE – This Monday March 23rd at 7.00pm here at Holy Cross Church.
THE SACRED TRIDUUM – Ministers of Holy Communion and Readers will be required for the Sacred Triduum in Holy Week. If you are able to assist at any of these services, please sign the lists which are on the table in the porch.
PALM SUNDAY 10.30am MASS – The 10.30am Mass will begin as it always does in the Church Hall. Children receiving their First Holy Communion in June this year are invited to play a ‘starring role’ in the procession from the Hall to the Church.
PARISH EASTER CARDS – Times of services throughout Holy Week are printed on the Parish Easter Card and are available in the porch. Please take only one if you do NOT have a child in Holy Cross School.

LENTEN TALKS BY OUR SEMINARIANS – For one more Saturday in Lent our Seminarians will give a talk on the Gracious Virtues of Lent. The final talk will take place at 3pm in the Lady Chapel next Saturday 28th March – Charity.
LEPRA APPEAL – THIS WEEKEND MARCH 21st / 22nd – There will be a voluntary appeal to assist the work of LEPRA. Lepra is a registered charity that works to help relieve the suffering of lepers.
SUNDAY FRIENDS – Welcomes everyone especially people with autism and their families. Sunday 22nd March 1.30pm at St Nicholas, Newman Centre, Boldmere.
CHURCH CAR PARK – Parishioners who use the Church car park, kindly use all the spaces, not leaving empty the middle row or the back row by the hedge.
SAFEGUARDING TRAINING
– For ALL parishioners who do any kind of volunteering work in the Parish: Step 1 Visit the Catholic Safeguarding Standards Agency website. (https://training.catholicsafeguarding.org.uk)Step 2 Scroll down the page until you see three levels of training. Step 3 Click on ‘Enrol’ level one and enter your name and email address. Step 4 Upon completion, please email Father Neil that you have done so. (fr.neil.bayliss@rcaob.org.uk) Remember, you are asked to complete only level one. This should take less than ten minutes. If you do not have access to the internet, you may read the documents on the Parish Notice Board in the porch.
ANNUAL DIOCESAN THANKSGIVING MASS FOR MARRIAGE – An invitation is extended to married couples, those celebrating a mile-stone anniversary and those preparing to marry this year, to our Diocesan thanksgiving Mass for Marriage at Saint Chad’s Cathedral on Saturday May 2nd 2026 at 12 noon, followed by light refreshments.
