Confirmation  – 2021 This year there will be a series of lessons from November to February immediately prior to the Confirmation itself on 4/11th February 2021. (tbc) These lessons are likely now to be ‘on line’ – so unless the situation changes the following details are no longer in operation – lessons will be on Saturday mornings of each month for two hours, from 8.30am (prompt start) until after the 10am Mass on the following dates:

10th October 2020, 14th November 2020, 12th December 2020, 16th January 2021 and 6th February 2021.  (tbc) In these sessions instruction will be given in the following topic areas: A base line assessment and introduction to a project on their chosen saint. What Catholics believe – doctrines & creeds. The Sacraments – the seven sacraments in two sessions. Prayer – how, when, why. How Catholics live – how our faith impacts on our life choices. Candidates will be expected to attend all sessions and the mass each Saturday. Parents will be most welcome to the Mass. It is expected that the candidates will attend the 10.30am Mass on 22nd November for a ‘Mass of Commitment’. They will be expected to complete the project before the end of January 2021 and make their confession before the 6th February. Instruction will take place in the ‘Father Berry Room’ in the Church Hall for all the above sessions. (08.30 – 09.55). Please include a passport sized photograph of your child  with the basic information form, so that your child can be included on the display boards in church. This year the sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred by Canon David Evans, Episcopal Visitor for Birmingham on Thursday 4/11th February 2021 at 7pm. (tbc) If you have any queries contact Fr.
