STATIONS OF THE CROSS IN LENT – Lenten Stations of the Cross will take place in church at 12 noon every Friday. Followed by a ‘’Soup and Roll’’ lunch in the Church Hall. More volunteer soup makers are needed. Will volunteers please sign the list in the church porch. 2 soup makers required for each Friday in Lent.

LENTEN TALKS BY OUR SEMINARIANS – For three Saturdays in Lent our Seminarians are going to give a talk on the Gracious Virtues of Lent. Each talk will take place at 3pm in the Lady Chapel, Saturday 14th March – Faith, Saturday 21st March – Hope, Saturday 28th March – Charity.

FISH AND CHIP LUNCH – The next Fish and Chip Lunch will be in the Church Hall at 1.00pm on Tuesday March 10th. If you wish to join us, please sign the list in the porch. £7.00 per person to include lunch, dessert and tea/coffee. Payment due when signing.  Thank you.

CAFOD APPEAL – 28th February – 1st MARCH & LEPRA APPEAL – 21st-22nd MARCH There will be a voluntary appeal to assist the work of CAFOD and then a second appeal for LEPRA later in March. Lepra is a registered charity that works to help relieve the suffering of lepers.

HOLY CROSS SCHOOL – There are vacancies for pupils in Reception and in Year 1 and Year 2 classes. If interested please contact the school.

SVP – The SVP groups across the cluster are holding a ‘Taste of India’ dinner. Saturday 28th March in Holy Trinity Church Hall. Tickets available 7th / 8th March £20 per ticket – cash only.

ANNUAL DIOCESAN THANKSGIVING MASS FOR MARRIAGE – An invitation is extended to married couples, those celebrating a mile-stone anniversary and those preparing to marry this year, to our Diocesan Thanksgiving Mass for Marriage at Saint Chad’s Cathedral on Saturday May 2nd 2026 at 12 noon, followed by light refreshments. SAINT OF THE WEEK – Saint Chad was born in the seventh century.  He was educated at Lindisfarne. As Bishop, he established his See at Lichfield. His reputation spread quickly and favourably as a kind pastor who sought out the lost and cared for the sick. He died at Lichfield in 672. Toady his shrine is located in Saint Chad’s Cathedral, Birmingham. He is the Patron Saint of the Archdiocese of Birmingham. His feast is celebrated on March 2nd.

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE SICK IN OUR PARISH – May the Lord grant them consolation, peace and healing and to all involved in health care in hospital or in the community, grace, strength and perseverance.
