STATIONS OF THE CROSS IN LENT – Lenten Stations of the Cross will take place in church at 12 noon every Friday. These will be followed by a ‘’Soup and Roll’’ lunch in the Church Hall. Volunteer soup makers are needed.  Will volunteers please sign the list in the church porch. 2 soup makers required for each Friday in Lent. For parishioners who work during the week,  is there a wish for a further Stations of the Cross to take place at some time during the weekend? If so, please let Father Neil know.

T20 CRICKET – This year there are three possible dates all Sundays – 24th May, 31st May and 5th July, Fr Neil is tempted by 31st May please let him know asap which date you would prefer.

VACANCY AT HOLY CROSS SCHOOL – Holy Cross Catholic Primary School is currently advertising for a KS2 Level 3 Teaching Assistant position. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 4th March 2026. PART TIME SUPERVISOR FOR THE NEWMAN CENTRE – The Newman Centre is a charitable work of the Parish of Saint Nicholas, Boldmere. It offers resources of a community centre to groups and individuals in Boldmere and surrounding areas. There is a vacancy for a part time Supervisor, working 10 hours a week as required and offering regular opportunities for overtime. Wage £12.72 per hour. ANNUAL DIOCESAN THANKSGIVING FOR MARRIAGE – An invitation is extended to married couples, those celebrating a milestone anniversary and those preparing to marry this year, to our Diocesan Thanksgiving Mass for Marriage at St Chad’s Cathedral on Saturday 2nd May 2026 at 12 Noon, followed by light refreshments. SAINT OF THE WEEK – Our Lady of Lourdes   February 11th marks the first apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1858  to fourteen-year-old Marie Bernarde (Saint Bernadette) Soubirous. There were eighteen apparitions in all, the last of which was on July 16th1858. The message of Lourdes is a call to personal conversion, prayer and charity.

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE SICK IN OUR PARISH – May the Lord grant them consolation, peace and healing and to all involved in health care in hospital or in the community, grace, strength and perseverance.
