THE SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION  2026 - Archbishop Bernard has put into his diary Thursday February 5th to administer the sacrament of Confirmation in 2026. Parents of children in Year 6 in Holy Cross School or in year 6 or above in any other local school wishing their child to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation  in February 2026, must attend a meeting in Holy Cross Church on 23rd October 6.45pm. This year there will be a series of lessons from October to February  immediately prior to the Confirmation itself on 6th February 2026 These lessons will be led by parish catechists and they will take place monthly, on Saturday mornings of each month for two hours, from 8.30am (prompt start) until after the 10am Mass on the following dates: 8th November…

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2026 - It is arranged for Saturday 13th June 12.00am and 3.00pm.  ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE DAY - Photographs - Due to the quick turnaround between the two Masses, there will be no photographer at the church. Flowers – Parents are asked for a donation of £3.00 per family towards of the cost of flowers for the church. Sashes/ Ties - Boys will be given red sashes by staff in the entrance of church on the day. Parents are asked for a donation of £5.00 for the red tie, which you will then receive prior to the Holy Communion.
