T20 CRICKET – Sadly this year we made a small loss on this parish event. In part the problems this year were caused by having to buy tickets and book the coach so far in advance, with the added problem of half term, the Sutton Fun Run and the bringing forward of the days matches were played. It does mean that this event is unlikely to take place next year.
PARISH REGISTRATION – If you are new to the parish, have changed your address, or have not previously registered here, please complete a Parish Registration Form – which can be found on the table in the porch – and return to the Parish Office.

They are holding a ‘Open Evening’ this Wednesday (10th June) from 8pm at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, in Sutton Coldfield. If interested and want further information contact David Beddoe debeddoe@outlook.com
HOLY CROSS CHURCH & SCHOOL CAR DRIVERS – Please park carefully and responsibly when coming to mass or taking your child to/from school. Please do not annoy our neighbours by parking across their driveways or endanger pedestrians by blocking the footpaths. Similarly if someone complains – at least be civil. “Love your neighbour as yourself”.
SUMMER EVENT JULY 2026 – Fr Neil is suggesting that we hold (weather permitting) an event in early July before the school summer holidays. Perhaps something like a ‘bring and share’ Sunday lunch after the 10.30am Mass. Please let him know your opinion.
SAINT OF THE WEEK – Saint Barnabas, Apostle Saint Barnabas was a Cypriot Jew. The Holy Spirit destined him to a universal mission. It was Barnabas who introduced Saint Paul to the other apostles, paving the way for a broad apostolate which required the approval of the pillars of the Church. He was with Saint Paul on the first missionary journey and in the first Council of Jerusalem. After having converted many souls for Christ, Barnabas died a martyr for the faith. He had preached at Cyprus during Nero’s reign. His name is included in the Roman Canon. His feast is celebrated on June 11th.
